What's a triplet? What things come in groups of (3) or having the number (3) attached to it? Triplets are 3 people born at the same time. 3 strikes and you're out. 3-pointers. Field goals=3 points. Three Blind Mice, Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Three Little Pigs, The 3 Muskateers, etc. But in Music, a triplet is a group of eighth notes connected by a beam and they all occur on ONE BEAT - whoa!
MUSIC ACE has begun and yes, I can identify the highest/lowest pitch out of (4) notes. The challenge in progress is identifying line and space notes in treble clef through MUSIC ACE, a software program. The notes randomly appear and the student must use critical thinking skills of (1) identifying if it's a space/line note, and (2) clicking the correct response in a determined amount of time.
3RD GRADE
Students will compose a 4-measure melody using a combination of whole/half/dotted half/quarter/eighth notes. In addition each note must be labeled with the correct letter name.
